About

Liz Fitzgerald is a contemporary artist based on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Originally studying and working in the fields of graphic design then arts education, her artistic journey is one of reflection and exploration, inspired by the landscape and the beauty of everyday life. Liz's artworks are typified by loose gestural brushwork, suggestion and simplicity; she aims to represent her subject as if caught in a fleeting moment in time, capturing its idea or essence.

She has been a finalist in the Lethbridge 20000, Omnia Art Prize, the Southern Buoy Studios Landscape Prize and the Mornington Peninsula Contemporary Art Prize.

Liz has held several solo and group shows and her work is held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand and the US.
